Very Busy, Don't Worry, I'll Be There 04/12/2012

Between inventory, packing the van, making jewelry and trying to get my muscle to cooperate--yeah right--there is not a lot of time for the computer.  So if I don't post too much over the next month--don't worry--I'll be out there at the shows with all my goodies this year.  New stuff is on the way along with the shinny trinkets you know and love!
I did it again--scheduled more than I wanted to.  Fall shows are not all scheduled yet and I have a few summer shows to take care of but most of the schedule is set.  With the flea markets during the summer it comes to about 90 days of setting up and taking down.  Should keep me out of trouble--maybe!
And just a reminder for my early customers--that's two cream and two sugars in my coffee!  See you all on the road--somewhere!

Oh The Weather Outside Is... 04/10/2012

--different than last month!  I went to the back door to let the dog out and to my surprise it was snowing.  That's what I love about living in Wisconsin--ya just never know what kind of weather you're going to have until it does it.  Doesn't matter what the weather guessers say--Mother Nature is still in control of our lives.  This is the reason I keep my winter jacket with me when I travel--year round!

2012 Is Already Exciting 04/06/2012

I was looking forward to this year being better than last year and so far I'm not disappointed.  Here in Wisconsin the weather has been wonderful, my family is healthy for the most part--some of us are a little off but that's normal, we have food and shelter and transportation, all of us are working, we are thankful for everyday we have and look forward to the next day we wake up breathing.  You can't ask for more than all that.
Many years ago I learned to take one day at a time--some of you have heard that before.  I plan for the future but I'm flexible enough to make the changes when needed.  Forest Gump said it all:  "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get."  It always pays to be flexible!

Making Jewelry 04/01/2012

I'm working my fingers to the bone again!  Now that I have my schedule for this year pretty well set I'm off and running to get my jewelry done.  Right now I'm working on wire crochet sets.  According to my records from last year I have a lot to make.  Been working with pearls this weekend and they are turning out awesome.  I sell a lot of white and black so I have the white pearls done for the summer shows.  In August I work more on the colors for the fall shows.  I want to get a good portion of the pearls done this weekend so I can do some wire wrapping during the week.
Have to work on table clothes during the week too.  They really don't take long but I have to feel like doing them and I'm not feeling it right now!  I still have two more to make for my tables and 4 to make for my daughters tables.  Then I have the back drop to make for the art shows.  That doesn't take long either but its another one of those things you have to feel like doing.  I have booth shots to take this year so I'm taking my time with the displays too.
Well I'm off to work again.

Finally got the page for the bead kits up and running.  Not all kits are listed yet so please check back next week for more.  Wire crochet and Christmas Tree On A Wrist will be back in stock in a few weeks.
Finally got my van unloaded yesterday from the bead show so I'm switching gears to get ready for all my art and craft shows this year.  Added some shows in April so check up on me from time to time--ya just never know where you may run across me!

Sunday Evening In My Queendom 03/25/2012

Yes that's right--evening!  I have been home from the bead show for about an hour.  Had a really great time at the show and would like to go back next year.  It was a new experience because I was a vendor this time instead of a buyer--well I bought a few things--just a few--really!
Met lots of great people, got to have a whole lot of fun and spend the weekend with my daughter.  She is a very good salesperson and people like her so I have to take her along.  If I don't take her with she whines and cries--very ugly sight to see!  She is a good source of entertainment too--just ask any of my customers!
I learned a lot this weekend and will be applying things to future shows.  That's the one of the best things about trying something new--it teaches you to improve on what you thought was good!  Have to be flexible and open minded in this business or you stay home.  For every new thing I try--I improve.  What could be a better lesson!
Now its time for me to hit the hay.  I like the traveling but there is nothing like you own bed--and your own bathroom!
Thanks very much to all the fun people that came to our booth this weekend.  Sure hope to see you somewhere on the road again.

The modem for our internet took a hike so I'm on my netbook this morning.  I have lots of work to do so I guess it was a good thing it happened this weekend.  Been sewing and painting and packing--and sick!  Go Figure!  Of all the times for me to get sick it would have to be the week before the bead show.  Murphy's Law strikes again.  I may be a little slower than normal but I'm not down so at least I can keep working and get as much done as possible.  Hopefully I will feel better in a few days.  I can get a lot done in a short amount of time--

My daughter just left to go back home today--after I worked her fingers to the bone for 24 hours!  She came here on Sunday and I put her to work right away. I saved the best for her to do.  All the 6mm Swarovski crystals are now packaged up and ready for the bead show in a few weeks.  There are now 30 color mixes and 80 colors all bagged and ready to go.  Now I have 9 days to finished everything else!  At least the crystals are done!  Off to work I go.

Great first cup of coffee as usual.  Not quiet this morning but my husband is home trying out our new TV.  Our TV quit last night so we had to run out and get a new one.  Its nice to be old and have a little extra money for lifes major emergencies.  Next week is a new washer and dryer since the dryer quit too.
Well today I should have the viking knit kits just about finished.  All the wire is coiled, the printing is done, wood is cut for the dowels and drawplates.  I started drilling pilot holes yesterday and I'm hopeful that I'll get all the drilling done today.
