Who We Are
Queen Bee Beads Etc is a small business with a big heart. I've been at this business for 27 years and I'm still going strong at it. My business expands a little bit every year and keep getting busier. I'm a real person with a real business that I'm proud of. I work hard, do my best and set an example for my children and grandchildren by trying to do the right thing in everything I do. My dad used to say, "follow in my footsteps", I have and I hope those after me will too.
All the wire jewelry is handmade by me and is sold mainly at art and craft shows. My youngest daughter is in training to learn the beadwork. My granddaughters make stretchy bracelets that I sell at the flea markets in the summer time. My oldest daughter even helps out once in a while.
I do all the art shows and my youngest daughter does a lot of craft shows for me, which she really enjoys doing. This year I'm going to start teaching her the metal work. There is nothing like pounding the crap out of a piece of metal to lower your frustration level!
My husband, aka, "man slave", keeps me on the road by taking care of all the necessary mechanical issues. He is my biggest fan, keeps me focused when things around me are a bit out of control and is there to help fix my tents when the weather is a little ruff on them--my hero!
Every year after Christmas we go into bead kit production so the grandkids get to help too. Nothing like spending a weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's--Grandpa spoils them something terrible--I make them work! (I slip them the cookies when nobody is looking so don't squeal on me!)
Everyone has a say in what happens in this business but, I have the final word...after all...I am the Queen!
